Born and raised in Sacramento, Eric has now lived in the Bay Area for the past 10 years. It was in 2005 when he started to find a passion for triathlons and running events. Eric is proud to be a 3x time Ironman Triathlon finisher, and has competed in many other endurance events including the Devil Mountain Double Century and numerous running events.
Eric has a passion of bringing people together to encourage healthy living. He is the President of Monumental Racing LLC, producer of The Walnut Run. He has gained experience in directing other charity walk/runs from 2011-2013, and this year he will be acting as Race Director for this event.
A life long Walnut Creek resident, Jason went to Las Lomas HS. He and his wife (who attended Northgate HS), are currently raising two kids who have gone to both private and public schools in Walnut Creek.
By day, a Certified Financial Planner™ with local wealth management firm Herrmann & Cooke Wealth Management.
Having competed throughout the country at running events from 5k to 50 miles, as well as a 4 time Ironman triathlon finisher, he also enjoys coaching CYO Cross Country, grades 3-8.
A Northgate High School graduate, Kathy is an avid runner and enjoys competing in many local and regional running events. She is most passionate about the half marathon distance, but in 2012 took on her first marathon where she qualified for and subsequently ran in the 2013 Boston Marathon. New in 2013, Kathy is dabbling in the multi-sport scene and recently completed her first Half Ironman Triathlon.
Kathy is the Sponsorship Director for The Walnut Run and enjoys being involved in a fun community event that has the added benefit of supporting the local schools. Kathy lives in Walnut Creek with her husband and two children who attend Walnut Creek schools.
A life-long East Bay resident, Janet got a relatively late start to running, participating in her first 5k in 2004. She’s never looked back. Since then she has participated in dozens of races through out the Tri-Valley and loves to turn half marathons into destination vacations.
When she’s not running, Janet is busy running a niche advertising firm that specializes in event marketing and food packaging and is honored to be part of The Walnut Run team.
A U.C. Berkeley grad, Janet has an MBA and in her free-time is the president of Forward Motion Race Club in Danville.
